MK11 YOUTUBE BUMPER ADDS MATTE PAINTING
Part of my role within the design team on the MK11 digital campaign launch was to help in the ideation of how we could create a live action story for MK11 YouTube bumpers.
The task was complicated due to budget and time restrictions within the bumper window. We finally settled on the idea of Scorpion ripping into other games and pop culture references without mentioning them, but hinting
to them.
I was tasked with creating the backgrounds for our 3 chosen routes and creating illustrated and photo composited Mattes that were then taken and placed into our live action Green screened sets.
The end result was impactful and had the tone that Mortal Kombat
is known for.
